Soil mapping, every intensity
General, high intensity, and extra high intensity soil maps, mapped to the standard the job requires. Map units are delineated in the field, at the scale the reviewing authority expects.

East Tennessee Soil Scientists
Sevier Soil Services maps the ground before you build on it. Soil mapping at every intensity, from a single house lot to a subdivision of a hundred lots and more, for the health department, your engineer, and your lender.

What We Do
A soil map is a professional document. It says what is under the ground, where the boundaries between one soil and another fall, and whether the site can carry the system you are proposing. We produce them at every intensity the work calls for, and we do the field work ourselves.

Site evaluation for subsurface sewage disposal. Borings and pit descriptions, horizons, restrictive features, and seasonal high water table, recorded on site.
Percolation tests run and recorded to the required interval, with every reading behind the final rate reported rather than summarised.
Whole tracts mapped and divided, with the soils, the borings and the testing carried through to each lot. One lot or a hundred and more.
Signed, dated soil maps and field data reports prepared for submission, with the field record behind every line on the map.
A read on whether a tract will carry what you have in mind, early enough that it can change the offer.
Sevier Soil Services is a soil science consultancy. We map and report what is in the ground. Approval of any system rests with the reviewing authority.

Who We Are
Principal Soil Scientist
Grant leads the practice and signs the maps that carry an attestation. His name is on the work.
Soil Scientist
Kyle runs the field work and is the person you will most likely talk to. Call or text him directly.
Licensed soil scientists working under Tennessee rules. Both of us are in the field, not behind a desk.
Where We Work
We are based in Sevierville and we work across East Tennessee. Sevier, Blount, Jefferson, Cocke, Knox, Grainger, Hamblen, Loudon, Monroe, Meigs and the counties around them. If you are not sure whether your property is in range, call and ask. It usually is.
Contact
Call or text Kyle with the address or the parcel number and what you are trying to build. That is usually enough to say what the job needs and what it will cost.
